Admission

Number of Admissions: International student admissions are based on a departmental limit.

Eligibility

1) Master's Programs and Combined Master’s / Doctoral Programs(refer to Academic Departments)
A. International applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
① He or she holds (or is about to hold) a Bachelor’s degree
② He or she is not a citizen of Korea
③ His or her parents are not citizens of Korea
※ Applicants who hold dual Korean citizenship are prohibited from applying. Citizenship status is determined as that which is held at the date of the application deadline.
B. Applicants of Korean origin must meet all of the following requirements:
① He or she received their entire elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate education outside of Korea at a comparable and equivalent level to that which is provided in Korea
② He or she holds (or is about to hold) a Bachelor’s degree

2) Doctoral Programs(refer to Academic Departments)

A. International applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
① He or she holds (or is about to hold) a Master’s degree
② He or she is not a citizen of Korea
③ His or her parents are not citizens of Korea

B. Applicants of Korean origin must meet all of the following requirements:

Eligibility for Language Proficiency

(Master’s Programs, Doctoral Programs, Master’s and Combined Master’s/ Doctoral Programs)
Applicants must provide one of the following as proof of language proficiency:
① Korean proficiency: A "TOPIK" certificate for level 3 or higher
② English proficiency: A score report from a recognized English proficiency test such as - TOEFL 530(CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600, TOEIC 700 or higher
③ Be a native English speaker
④ A confirmation letter of English or Korean proficiency issued by the department after the initial admission interview.
